For Netafim we planned and designed two main components of the irrigation management and monitoring system for large fields. The system includes an end computer that controls irrigation and fertilization, and a central management computer that controls all of the end units.

The planning challenge in the system was to create a product that allows easy access and opening during field conditions, on the one hand; and has a very high resistance to environmental conditions and is water-tight, on the other. We tried to create a simple and iconic look that would easily identify Netafim’s products and allow for the easy expansion of new products. In this project we created very complex models throughout the duration of the process – both because of their physical size and also because of the need to comply fully with the environmental conditions defined for this product for experimental purposes.
